Howling wolf brooch, carved in naturally shed moose antler.
This carving is 3 1/4” wide and 3” high and it is finished with a nickel plate pin.  Antler naturally varies in colour, not only from antler to antler, but often within the same piece of antler.  Your wolf will have its own unique and natural colouration.

Wolves have been capturing our imaginations for millennia. Drawings of wolves have been found on cave walls in Europe and have been dated to 20,000 years ago. And they have been appearing in art ever since. Wolves will howl to contact pack members, rally the group, warn rival packs, attract mates, or just because they are alone. This wolf is definitely a lone wolf howling.

I design and carve all of my jewelry and sculpture in my studio/ workshop located in Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island.

My carvings are inspired by the beauty of nature and the natural materials it provides. I use antler, which is naturally shed and regrown by the animal each year. Once carved, each piece is sanded and buffed to highly polished finish.
