An ossuary is a container or room in which the bones of dead people are placed This one has a bit of room remaining. The skulls in this piece are approximately 1.5” by 2” The are mounted on an upcycled, repainted wooden tray. The base is 7.5” x 7.5”
I use locally sourced beef bone that I clean and whiten. Once carved, each piece is sanded and buffed to a highly polished finish.
I design and carve my jewellery and sculptures in my studio/ workshop in Brackley Beach PEI.
