Shark on a driftwood base

While PEI is surrounded by water, and there are occasional shark sittings, they have never been a problem here. And many see the beauty and majesty of these ancient creatures.  I have seen sharks while diving in the Caribbean and I find them fascinating.   This is the only shark I have ever created (so far).   It’s  carved in caribou antler and mounted on driftwood.   It is carved completely on all sides and is truly a 3 dimensional piece.  I like the fact that the wood looks like exotic coral.  It is 10” he 9”w x 6’d

I design and carve all of my jewelry and sculpture in my studio/ workshop located in Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island.

I use antler, which is naturally shed and regrown by the animal each year. Once carved, each piece is sanded and buffed to highly polished finish. Each sculpture is signed.
