The first time I saw a humpback whale in the Bay of Fundy was also the first time I understood the expression “breathtaking”. I literally lost my breath. I love whales. I love knowing that these majestic creatures occupy the coastal waters near my home. I enjoy the sense of awe I feel when I try to picture them beneath the surface of the water. Our worlds are so close. And yet so different. In my years of carving, whales have remained a favourite subject, both in my sculpture and my jewelry designs.

I design and carve all of my jewelry and sculpture in my studio/ workshop located in Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island.

I use antler that is naturally shed and regrown by the animal each year.   Once carved, each piece is sanded and buffed to highly polished finish. Driftwood is painted with thin coats of acrylic paint that allow the natural grains and imperfections show through. Each sculpture is signed.
