Fishbones
The fish bone pendant is one of my oldest and by far, one of my most popular designs.
I have a 25+ year old sketch book in which I first drew this design, and I still refer to it when I am starting a batch of fishbones. They are a bit finicky to carve, as the pieces are so small that I have to hold them with locking forceps to keep from carving and sanding my own fingers. Speaking of things more than a quarter of a centuary old, the forceps came from my dissecting kit I used in anatomy classes at university. Carved from beef bone with silver bead vertebrae, the bones all spin on the internal wire the connects all of the pieces.
