Trebel Clef

Trebel Clef.

This is a recovered-from-the-fire bone piece mounted in a new frame. I originally found two of these little frames in the thrift shop and thought that I’d eventually carve two treble clef pieces. But since I’ve thrown out all my frames and bases that were smoke damaged, this is the original (restored) carving in the second frame. The first time I highlighted the instruments and cherubs around the edges with gold paint. This time I used gold leaf and I like it much better. It’s a softer, prettier gold. Carved from beef bone and mounted in a
4” x 5” easel back frame. I will have this at @charlottetownfarmersmarket on Saturday. #bonecarving #carvedbone #trebleclef #bonecarver
