Mushrooms en Cloche

Mushrooms carved from reindeer antler and mounted in a glass and wood cloche, aka display dome. Total height 7.5”.
As a former biologist, I am excited to use a cloche in this piece. These glass display domes evoke memories of dusty old natural museums, creaky wooden floors, the smell of mothballs in the cabinets, meticulously labeled specimens in faded cursive script and natural oddities afloat in murky jars of formaldehyde….my inner science geek just took a stroll down memory lane…
