Canada Goose in flight, wall mounted sculpture.
Canada geese are not solitary birds. Bonded pairs, live and travel within larger flocks. The flocks will honk more in flight that’s on the ground. This is to help keep the group together. This goose is travelling with its flock, its just the only one I depicted in this carving. The goose is carved from reindeer antler, and is 6” long. The base is PEI driftwood, and finished with a satin clear coat. It’s 18” long A sawtooth hanger is mounted on the back for easy hanging.
I design and carve all of my jewelry and sculpture in my studio/ workshop located in Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island.
I use antler that is naturally shed and regrown by the animal each year. Once carved, each piece is sanded and buffed to highly polished finish.
